Vitamin Angels UK was born in 2018 with an initial focus on improving nutrition for preschool-aged children by introducing supplementary feeding programmes. We work in partnership with Vitamin Angels Global, a global nonprofit that has been helping fill the gaps for underserved women and children without access to healthcare and nutrition services since 1994.
The objects for which the Company are established are the relief of sickness and preservation of health by providing or assisting in the provision of nutrients and services for the benefit of mothers and children and to work to end malnutrition and its consequences among at-risk, hard-to-reach populations (e.g., defined generally as individuals lost to national health services), focusing on young children under five years of age, and women of reproductive age, including especially pregnant women and their unborn child and new mothers and to advance the education of the general public in all areas relating to healthcare for mothers and children.
Mr. Hood is a Founding Partner and the CEO of William Hood & Company, a differentiated industry-focused investment bank covering the Consumer, Food and Retail sectors. Mr. Hood is well-known globally as a leading M&A banker to the Consumer Products and Health & Wellness industries having led or been involved in many of the larger and better-known transactions including the sale of Liquid I.V. to Unilever, the sale of OLLY to Unilever, the sale of Atrium (Garden of Life) to Nestle for $2.3 billion, the sale of the Nature’s Bounty Company from Carlyle to KKR for $3 billion, the sale of UK-based Holland & Barrett to Letter1 Retail for $2.4 billion, the sale of Schiff to Reckitt Benckiser for $1.45 billion and the sale of Emergen-C to Pfizer. Widely regarded as an expert in the industry, Mr. Hood is frequently invited to speak about M&A at key Health and Wellness conferences including Expo West, Expo East, the NBJ Summit, Supply Side West and ACG. Mr. Hood is also a contributor to both financial and industry publications and has been published or quoted about industry trends and matters of M&A in the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg News, WWD and Reuters among others. Mr. Hood serves on the Editorial Board of the Nutrition Business Journal. Prior to launching William Hood & Company, Mr. Hood spent 8 years as a Managing Director at a leading global investment bank where he founded, built and led the firm’s Consumer Health and Wellness practice. Prior to joining that firm, Mr. Hood spent 9 years at a highly specialized investment banking boutique, a firm he joined at inception and where he became a Partner focused on transactions in the Consumer industry. Mr. Hood began his career 23 years ago at PaineWebber Investment Banking in New York. Mr. Hood has a global network and travels frequently to Europe and Asia. He grew up in the U.K. and Hong Kong and holds a B.S. from Georgetown University. Mr. Hood serves on the Global Advisory Board of Vitamin Angels, the Board of Trustees of Vitamin Angels U.K. and the Board of Greenwich Emergency Medical Services in Greenwich, CT.
David grew up in the Northamptonshire countryside before studying law at Oxford University. Since 1999 he has worked as a barrister specialising in commercial law, predominantly in London, but also with a period living and working in Singapore from 2009-2010. He became a QC in 2014. He now lives in Kingston-upon-Thames with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis and cycling. He became a Trustee when Vitamin Angels UK began in 2020.
Will graduated in 2006 from the University of Bristol School of Law in the UK and Kyushu University in Japan (where he attended the ‘Japan in Today’s World’ exchange program). He initially put his law degree to one side as he worked for 3 years on community based health development projects in South East Asia, mainly in Laos. In 2010 he joined a Lao hydropower company and later a local law firm as a Legal Advisor.

Walgreens Boots Alliance is a truly global organization with employees and stores around the world. To help protect the health of communities near and far, Walgreens Boots Alliance and Vitamin Angels are working together in 6 different countries, including the UK. Since 2013, Walgreens Boots Alliance and Vitamin Angels have reached over 200 million children and women with life changing vitamins.
Since 2013, Walgreens and Vitamin Angels have worked together to provide vitamins and minerals to malnourished pregnant women and children in low and middle-income countries around the world. Over the last six years, Walgreens has donated one percent of sales of participating vitamin products to support Vitamin Angels’ outreach efforts to communities in need. As of 2020, Walgreens has reached over 200 million women and children with life-saving vitamins and minerals all over the world.
Alliance Healthcare launched their partnership with Vitamin Angels in 2019, setting a goal of reaching 300,000 children through internal fundraising events such as a Family Fund Day and Championship sports event. Since then, they have built strong/robust company-wide support through employee engagement activations and awareness initiatives, solidifying the power of partnership.
Nourish3d launched a partnership with Vitamin Angels UK in 2021 to ensure their products are not only benefiting their customers, but also children in the UK who are at risk for food insecurity. By donating on every product sold and integrating our partnership messaging throughout their customer journey, Nourish3d has created a successful cause-marketing platform that demonstrates their strong commitment to giving back to communities in the UK and worldwide.
Every time a consumer purchases a vitamin product at Hairburst, they are directly impacting the life of a mother or child. With this marketing strategy, Hairburst’s partnership has been focused on integrating Vitamin Angels through its direct to consumer channels. Consumers shop, they give. It’s simple.
Through our partnership with Together Health, Vitamin Angels has been able to reach over 20,000 children and mums in the UK and around the world. Together Health donates 5% of their sales to continue to reach the most vulnerable communities.
Innopure and Vitamin Angels have had a strong partnership since 2016, impacting the lives of over 100,000 mums and children in the UK and around the world. With a heavy influence on their social media channels, Innopure continues to donate 20p per item sold. As we continue to build our partnership together, we continue to expand and reach new milestones together.
Water for Health has been a proud supporter of Vitamin Angels since 2016. Through our partnership we have been able to impact the lives of over 128,000 children throughout the UK and around the world. By donating a percentage of sales, Water for Health works to increase awareness of malnutrition in the UK and around the world.
Vegetology and Vitamin Angels have created a strong partnership since 2019. With Vitamin Angels part of the Vegetology Foundation, our partnership has been able to impact the lives of over 40,000 children and mums around the world and the UK.
In 2018, Omvits set out a goal to reach the lives of over 1,000 children. Since then our partnership has been able to reach continuous milestone goals as we continue to increase the number of impacts every year by 10 fold. As our partnership continues, Omvit has increased their impact by making additional donations when people sign up for their digital mailing lists.
