Our Approach

The power of strength in numbers.

To serve millions of moms and children worldwide, we leverage the intimate knowledge and existing infrastructure of our nonprofit partners and add our vitamins to their existing health and nutrition services.

Reaching Underserved Populations

Most governments offer health and nutrition services intended to meet the needs of their citizens. But despite their best efforts, limited resources often constrain their ability to do so. Unfortunately, those who need services the most tend to go unreached. This is where Vitamin Angels comes in. We partner with local, nonprofit organizations who provide health and nutrition services to underserved women and children. We seek to support only those initiatives that are complementary to and coordinated with existing national health services.

Roughly 30%* of those residing in developing countries don't have access to national health services.

We're Filling the Gaps

We've built a network of over 2,000 program partners globally who have a deep understanding of the communities they serve and can identify and fill gaps in health services. In this way, we can ensure our vitamins reach the women and children who need them most. See how it works:

We reach otherwise underserved families in isolated mountain and island communities.

We care for families in cities who may slip through the cracks because they are in transit, can’t afford treatment, or for other reasons.

Indigenous people may face discrimination when seeking treatment. But through our networks, patients are treated with care.

National services may be too limited to help people in remote regions. We can.

Our network provides benefits tailored to the specific needs of each community.

In some cases we support displaced victims of conflict, like refugees, who often rely on nonprofits for basic provisions.

*30% is a global average of individuals who do not have access to health services. Coverage may be higher or lower in different countries and regions.

This map is a representation of a simulated community to explain why many populations may not have access to national health services, and does not cover the full range of possible inhibitors to acquiring health provisions, which can vary by country and region.
